You’re Not Alone in This: A Letter to the Woman in the Middle of the Storm

Updated: Aug 26

Let me be real with you.

This past month, I’ve listened to your voices. I’ve read your messages. I’ve heard the tears behind the texts and the silence that says, “I don’t even know where to start.

Marriage tension. Financial stress. The weight of motherhood. Anxiety. Depression. Feeling like you’re barely holding it together while smiling in front of others.

Sis, I’ve been there.

When Life Breaks You Open

There was a season when I prayed and still felt nothing. When I was showing up for everyone else, but silently falling apart. I was serving in church, posting encouragement, but battling discouragement and shame behind the scenes.

I’d cry in the shower so no one could hear.

I’d lay next to my husband, wondering if we’d make it.

I’d smile at my kids and feel guilty for not being more present.

But God.

God didn’t leave me in that place.

And he’s not leaving you either.

📖

What the Bible Says When Life Is Too Heavy

  1. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Even when it feels like no one gets it, God is near. He’s not looking for you to be strong. He draws close when you’re weak.

  2. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love Gog. It might not feel good right now, but God is still working. Your pain isn’t wasted it’s part of the purpose He’s shaping in you.

  3. Isaiah 61:3 To give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. This verse is for you. Yes, you. God has a beautiful exchange waiting. He knows what to do with your broken pieces.

💬

Dear Legacy Woman…

You are not weak because you’re struggling.

You are not less called because your home is in chaos.

You are not less chosen because your marriage feels cold.

You are not faithless because you’re battling anxiety.

This isn’t the end of your story — it’s the middle, and God is still writing.

You are a woman of legacy, even when you feel like you’re falling apart. Legacy isn’t built in the easy seasons; it’s built when you choose to keep walking with God in the dark.

🕊️

What Helped Me Climb Out of That Place

  • I stopped pretending in prayer. I told God exactly how I felt — angry, hurt, numb, tired.

  • I permitted myself to rest. I wasn’t lazy. I was depleted. Rest is holy.

  • I let a few trusted women in. You don’t need everyone, just someone.

  • I clung to Scripture, even when I didn’t feel it. I didn’t wait for emotions. I built on truth.

Something for You to Hold Onto

If you’re reading this with tears in your eyes or heaviness in your chest, I want you to pause and breathe this in:

“God, I don’t understand this season, but I trust that You’re in it. I give you my heart, my marriage, my mind, and my home. Show me how to walk through this with you. I will not give up. I am still a woman of legacy.”

Legacy is Still Being Written

Don’t disqualify yourself because life feels hard. Your breakdown doesn’t cancel your calling. If anything, it gives your faith roots. The most powerful testimonies come from the women who kept showing up, despite everything inside them telling them to quit.

We’re not here to pretend.

We’re here to rise together.

You’re not alone.

And you are still a Legacy Woman.

📖 Scriptures to Meditate on This Week:

  • Psalm 46:1 – “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

  • Isaiah 41:10 – “Do not fear, for I am with you… I will strengthen you and help you.”

  • Lamentations 3:22-23 His mercies are new every morning.”
